          I love my e5 ,I run on a 12s setup batts from 2650 to 3300 with a Spartan vortex and its an awesome heli so much power ,bar far the best heli I have flown so far and I have had a few helis . im running a cc 80hv esc scorpion 4025 550kv motor with an 15 tooth pinion and a gryphon quaser bec . The only problem I have encountered is c of g the 2650 packs need to move further forward but not really a hassle .

            i guess on 6s 5000 packs the CoG should be spot on. saying that i wouldnt find that a problem anyway, because im use to flying my trex 550 dfc i think the reason they made the canopy much bigger on the v3 for you to fit of brick in the nose to level it out.

              I think the parts for Synergy's are a bit expensive compared to the others, but their quality speaks volumes. I've had a fair few helis in my time and there are some that are cheap and show it, others that are expensive for no real reason and then others are that are expensive and can be seen why. I'm sure you can guess which the Synergy's fall into. For example try flexing an E5 carbon frame, very stiff and excellent quality. They really are carbon frames, not carbon faced or poor quality. But you pay for that quality. I sold my N5 to a fellow club member (and friend) quite a while ago and the only thing to have gone so far is the clutch and he gives it hell.

                Ive just bought a new scorpion motor from a friend of a friend. Its a hklll 4025 650, But im wanting to fly 6s untill i can save up the extra cash to go towards batts for 12s in the future. But is this possible to fly it this motor on 6s only?

                    E9, and two n9 and N5 here. great helis dont wear out. parts are getting a bit scarces for the early ones, but n5 onwards parts are plentifull

                      Lol cheers gashead. Looks like im flying trex 550 for awhile then before i find 6s 3300 batts. I dont mind anyway, ill be happier with 12 time i get it running

                          Unless I've got it wrong, which has happened before, it would be the other way round. You've got a 12s motor that you're wanting to run on 6s, so you're head speed will be very low. You try putting the biggest pinion on it you can and running at 100%.

                          According to Mr Mel's calculator, a 650kv running on 6s at 100% throttle would be;

                          Estimated lowest voltage during flight: 20,46
                          Lowest RPM (due to voltage and efficiency) : 1508

                          (calculated for 100% throttle curve)
                          Hover RPM at beginning of flight: 1931
                          Hover RPM at middle of flight: 1778
                          Hover RPM at end of flight: 1716

                          So not unusable, by any means but certainly no where near ideal.

                            Depends on esc, kontronik is perfect at about 65-70% so this is no good here, alos the headspeed for the E5 needs to be at least 2200rpm imo. maybe stretch it to a 600 size then is shoule be perfect.
                            If i'm honest i cant think for the life of me why anyone would run a machine swinging 550mm blades on 12s.
