  • Maidened Synergy E7 and thoughts

Well i managed to maiden my Synergy E7 today, it is very windy in Bristol 20mph+ but couldn't wait any longer.
Pretty un eventful maiden really as it flew perfect from the off just a few little tweaks on the v bar and away it went, it feels very light in the air but when i weighed it before the maiden it was 3.2kg and compared to my t-rex 700e which is 3.4 all without batteries.
I have only changed one thing which is i used the rc booya canopy mountss as the ones supplied are very stiff, the canopy is what lets it down imo, as i found it very hard to see at times and will change asap.
One thing i also did was to enlarge the diameter of my ball link pliers as the linkage balls are larger than any other heli's and didn't work very well and scuffed up one ball which i had to replace, the electronics are easy to install and easy to make neat.
Below is my set up of installed gear.
    Heli: Synergy E7
    Motor: Scorpion 5020-450
    Esc: heli jive 120hv
    Lipo: 12s 4500
    Blades: Radix 690 FBL
    Cyclic: JR 8911
    Tail: BLS251
    Gyro: mini Vbar5.2
    Rx: Vbar with satellites

Looks great, athough I can see why the colours wouldnt help in orientation. It doesnt look like there is a blank available for it yet, shoot Ade999 a PM, he will be able to answer that one

Sorted, its off to buckers on Monday morning to have a custom paint job, to match my last one from him (below), he is gonna use the existing canopy and remove the horrible paint scheme and replace it with the new one.

Looking Good Ross! (God that sounds wierd!!)

I have to admit to being a bit of a strange entity when it comes to canopies as i liked the original N5 canopy and im loving the E7 canopy, i find the white and green stands out and i tend to pick up on those. Post up a pic once Buckers has got that baby painted for you!!

If your after a decent set of Ball Link pliers for the Synergy Ball links, i use a set i got years ago which is a basic ball link plier but it fits the Synergy links perfect. The only one i can find that still does this type of plier is Robbe and they are under the part number: S1360
