Synergy N5 tail hub issues?

Is there any known issues with the synergy N5 tail hub.
My maiden yesterday didn't go to plan as my tail hub exploded causing a premature meeting with terra firma, i saw a tail blade eject itself from the heli, only realising afterwards that the hub had snapped and one of the tail blade grips had left also, just before the bang there was a funning noise from the tail but didn't have time to react before it let go.
I have ordered the replacement parts, luckily not to much other damage bar the tail itself and a couple of other bits.
I remember one letting go at champs night flying a year or two ago also

Normally I put a bit super glue on knock on washer, apart from that there pretty good

Synergy N5 tail hub issues?

2 years ago that would have been mine - utter crap torsion night tail blades releasing a lipo inside one of them sending them massively out if balance. I think there is also a 6mm tail shaft now available, possibly an N5c part? Obviously you'd need shaft, bearings, tail pulley and hub.

What size tail blades were you using james? I have always run 92's on my N5 as i believe there were some issues with 95's on the stock hub assembly and Matt recommended 92's in the manual.

Here is a list of the items you would need to convert the tail the the N5C tail assembly:

108-616 - Flanged Bearings
615-124 - 6mm Tail Output Shaft
615-313 - 6mm Tail Pulley
615-324 - 6mm HD Tail Hub
515-525 - HD Tail Grips
108-503 - Radial Bearing (For Grips)
108-511 - Thrust Bearing (For Grips)
615-319 - Tail Slider Bushing (6mm)

the only issue I had with my N5 was that stupid lock washer coming lose even with CA on it. In the end I drizzled 24 hour epoxy into it now that sucker ain't coming free without a fight.

James, I have the 6mm shaft, hub and and HD grips on my N5 and N5c. I have been using 95mm tail blades with zero problems, but bear in mind, I'm no pyro queen!!
