    Just thinking outside the box; you could get a small CF plate that sticks with velcro on top of the LiPo under the motor shaft. Or one of those Spartan gyro plates etc.

    I have seen a Logo crash where the LiPo caught fire because it was punchured by the pinion, but as you say, it does have to be a pretty hard impact.

      This is why I didn't think it was worth doing.

      Seems like plenty of clearance to me, but I will probably do it as getting the motor over the little carbon plate is a bit of a pain. Just short on time and didn't fancy cutting the shaf on a brand new motor.
