  • Goblin with align gear?

Anyone slumming it with align gear in their gobblereeno?

I see most people are going with the scorpoion motors and kontronic esc's,but theres some serious schmoley in those bits.Im half thinking of selling my 700E airframe at the end of the year and transplanting the 700MX motor, castle 120HV ice2 esc and align 610's/650 into a goblin.

    Any thoughts,or anyone done similar?

it will be fine, its just an airframe after all

If your going to run a juicy motor in it thats when you might want a reliable esc such as kontroniks

Running a 700mx 510kv in mine with Align servos but a Jive and v bar.

The motor has plenty of grunt and the Align servos work just fine.

Yep, my mate uses the 700MX motor, very good indeed.

You only have to see a top pilot like Jamiem smacking around a bog standard 700e to prove that Align stuff is fine. Most of the problem is Heli snobbery!! You will have no issue at all using it in any 90 class machine.

all is fine mate, it will never perform like a scorpion setup with vbar etc etc but will still be very good......but good god you will see a major difference if you ditch the ds610 cyclics for something better i can promise you!!!

servos im useing in my sif I highly recommend....the spektrums are great value!!!

its nice to read a forum topic on align and even cc stuff where everyone is not dissing it all the time.

I love their stuff. More fool them that spend big bucks :friendly_wink:

Someone once told me,you may blind me with science but you won't dazzle me with bull$hit.

                      Align gear is fine.:)

I think the 700e can fly as good as the Goblin anyway,I purely got my Goblin for the looks of it not the fact I expected it to be able to outperform an Align airframe.

I do want to try an hv setup with their new servos running direct off a 2s lipo running the Tunigy Helidrive esc.

Probably use the 600pro or 700e for this.

Apart from not having a bec what is the benefit with the HV setup ,servo specs are the same as Normal 4.8/6v setup or am I missing some thing as for align gear I've used align gear in most of my helis over the last 3years and only had one servo go wrong on me I think that's a pretty good Record if you ask me

                          You have already said it

I don't know about the jive as I've never had one but the ice120a V2 works well to be save I'll go with the jive 120A then you know there will be no problems
                              Hope this helps
