  • First Goblin 420 main shaft build question

    Hi all,

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I have just started building my first ever Goblin 420 heli, when it came to shimming the main shaft, 1 shim leaves a very tiny amount of movement and the shaft spins perfectly but I seem to notice there is a tiny bit of play in the top bearing? Is this normal? Just concerned that any play may cause vibration when the head is spinning? If I add a second shin the shaft has less play but doesn’t move as freely as it did with just 1 shim :crushed:

    What should I do?

If you can feel the play but not see it, then it should be ok. My 380 has no play at all however. You do get shims of different thickness to try and get it perfect.
