  • Anyone still flying Robbes ?

Since this part of the forum is usually just the sound of the wind
and an occasional tumbleweed I thought I'd post something just for the
    pure craziness of it

I must admit, so far this year I have failed to get my nitro Futura out of
hybernation. 'Had engine bearing issues but I have now changed the bearings
and need to put it back together. The Futura was my favourite heli last year
and it is being criminally neglected as of late

I've got a mosquito sport collecting dust in the loft, can't remember when I last flew it.

Haven't flown Robbe now for over 4 years. Good at time but never see them anymore.

Yeah the Futura is great, flies so well and is built like a tank (but not as heavy as it looks). I still see Futura mechanics
in scale helis but virtually none as a pod and boom heli.

Futura SE was an all round great heli. I like the Milli II as well.

Got fed up with my Millie 111 and jumped on it, now there is one less flying......................
Heli central...Basildon RC helis...strictly helis only...

Desmo - I've got a Robbe Moskito that I have been thinking about selling. It's not quite flyable yet, but it's certainly not far off.
Drop me a PM if you're interested.

I have been offered this for £160. Any good??

Robbe Moskito - nitro fuel helicopter. Italian Super Tigre 45 engine, cone start, 5x futaba servos, HK401 gyro, 2.4ghz reciever module. carbon main blades. Complete and fully woking. Light use only. Canopy is good but not perfect

That's off eBay isn't it... Saw that on there in a job lot...

Completely depends what you want/need - doesn't state what rx is included so have no idea what radio you have and whether or not it's compatible.
Otherwise hard to tell as not very descriptive on servos etc, presumably analog.

ive got 2 millys one brand new with all new gear unflown 2 years old and my regular milly 2 flown a hell of a lot i even bought a new ys srs 91 for it but then came my trex 700n

ive been flying my trex 700s fbl for 2 years now and thought one day ide like to fly my milly so i took her to the feild fueled her up and off i went thinking that this wfor it as once worth £1500 but after half a tank i landed and thought i wouldnt pay £150 for it
what a difference in the two helies the milly is a bag of poo against the trex 700 and ime not doing 3d just sport flying it just felt so heavy in the air compared to the 700
so its back in the museum with the other one

You could get a raptor for similar money - I did! Trex 600n will be closer to £300 though.

The secret is in making a few tweaks to the rotorhead, the right inserts and dampers, fast servos on the aileron and elevator, the right paddles and max throws on the swash and flybar deflection. The Milli and Futura can be made to fly very nicely, but probably never as fast cyclics as the Trex. It just depends on the kind of flying you do.

Let me know if you think about selling a Milly :-)
