  • Milli 70 & 90 Pitch and Throttle Curves

I would be interested to see what others use for their pitch and throttle curves on both 70 and 90 size models (standard and idle up 1). I'm playing around with mine at the moment but can't seem to get them to fly how I want them at the moment. Also, governor settings if you use one.

    Many thanks

    I don't use a governor.

I run +/-10 degrees on the Mille 90 and +/- 9 degrees on the Mille 70. My 90 is OS pumped C-Spec with a Muscle Pipe, and the 70 is also OS, with a Hatori tuned pipe.

I use 90 sized blades - 710mm mains and 105mm tails on both these helis.

If you want to see my current curves, then I have them all in an Excel spreadsheet witch automatically draws graphs so you can see what's going on with both the pitch and the Throttle.

      normal mode;

      pitch -10, 0 10
      throttle; 0, 35% 50% 65% 100%
      governor disabled

      idle up 1,

      pitch -10, 0 10
      throttle 100, 65, 50, 65, 100%
      governor set to 1700rpm

      idle up 2,

      pitch -10, 0 10
      throttle 100, 65, 50, 65, 100%
      governor set to 1850rpm

      throttle hold pitch -10, 0 10

speeds will be different depending on what engine and muffler your using.

I would be interested in seeing your current curves. Any chance of getting a copy of the spreadsheet.

          Cheers,

This is an old thread. I'm afraid I don't have either of my Millenniums any more, nor do I have the curves in Excel.

However, from memory, I set them exactly as it says in the manual which was +/- 10 deg top and bottom with the hover at +4. Had no problems with it at all that way.

30 and 50 size helis like to hover between +5 and +6 degrees, and the 70/90 size stuff like to hover around +4. My current 90 (Vibe) hovers around +4 as well.
