Using a standard G260PUH the option I'm getting hold of comes with one .... uses a nice cnc ally fan for cooling like the nitro ones do...
              Thanks...

let u know how you get on. some airframes cope better with the stock engines than others..and some stock engines happen to be smoother than others too (a lottery). as you probably know the stock 231 tend to be smoother than stock 260. My stock 231 was quie good after running in.. and very economic. Then one or both coils died and I went with a hanson 260. One day I'll fiddle wth the 231..many ways was a nicer engine (I been saying that for 6-8 years)

Also why pay £150 more on a New OS-GZ15 (a 90 sized petrol engine (£469) and then you need an electric starter!! and to mount an extra battery to power the CDi unit more to go wrong... The G260PUH (£289)has a built in pullstart and self contained electrics...
                  Thanks...

I was referring to the RC car style zenoah with the built in cooling fan as now used in the whiplash and helibug... gettign better cooling/less vibes than with heli type fans and a touch more power. Apparently works out same weight as puh + fan stack. A stock 260 PUH can be a vibration mare unless lucky with your individual engine. The OS engine costs about the same as a TRM or Hanson modded with UK taxes

True - but these are true "heli" spec engines that normally end up powering scale "Vario" type machines... never had vibe issues with these in the past - a solid Zenoah quality engine ... not a cheep chineese copy ...
                      Thanks...

I`m just breaking in a stock zenoah 240 rc engine on my helibug and its a nice smooth runner with a 4 bolt head - very happy with it so far . I have a z20 cdi engine on my radikal and its just as smooth.
