This looks like a great model, I have my eye on this for 2010 and would be very keen to read your review; I am also considering the Radikal from Century.

Question: I am only interested in the flybarless version, do you know which gyro they use or recommend?

Thanks & good luck with your new toy

i am not sure what in gyro in the limited videos i have seen of this machine.. But i can tell you that i will be using a Spartan (most likely)..

I am pretty much going to review just a stock machine .. Hyperion has some new Servos coming out soon that i will be testing as well.. the data sheet isnt up yet but they are HV servos (last i heard the data sheet should be up this week)

After just having an initial peek at the bits.. i am thinking this is going to be a fun heli to build .. and well i LOVE gassers so i am guessing that flying it will be a pleasure as well

It will be interesting to see how this goes, I looked at a number of gassers to replace the Miniature Aircraft Spectra that I had and at the tiem you couldn't get this in the UK. I ended up going the Helibug 700 route and so far it's been bloody brilliant.
The other two that caught my eye were the TSA of which there's been very little news forthcoming of late or the RealHeli MX9. Neither have a distributor here and I didn't want to get stuck for spares as I was with the Spectra. Both, but particularly the MX9, look like real quality so it's a shame you can only order direct.
I'm not sure whether to go the Helibug route with my 600 or get another 90 size gasser so it will be nice to see how you get on.

              hey gramey

i am a few weeks into this build. the build itself, went very nice.. pretty straight forward.. no real hangups. the quality of the parts .. is outstanding.

i have run into a bit of a problem with the heli .. i am currently chasing down a twicthing tail.. been working on this for the better part of a week now.. i even took the engin out and broke it in on a stand. generally i do that in the airframe.

so as with any issue sometimes the solution jumpls out at you.. and sometimes it takes a fair amount of investigation.. and that is what i have been doing. i think i have it nailed down to the CDI.. i think i need a new one/better cdi. so for now that is what i am waiting on. RJX was quick to respond with my request of a new CDI and it is n its way to me now .. with no argument from them at all..

these things happen .. and we cant fault a heli for the odd problem.. so i have my fingers crossed and ill report more when i get the new unit in.

                Looking nice

I was waiting to see this Gasser come out and to see how it goes.

I`m sure you`ll get the tail problem out -thats the thing with owning a Gasser I think.

You may end up spending a lot of time with niggly little things but get them sorted and you will love flying them.
