Why are there not more RJX 50's out there

I took the plunge after looking at one for some time and it is the best 50 I have ever built / flown.

She is smoother than silk to fly and fully programmable. That said, she's going flybarless in a couple of weeks but worth every penny

Come on - we need an RJX forum. They have one on the US site

There parts very reasonable until the price hike.
Now there vibe 50 money

Did not everything go up in price across the board? I can't see that they are any more expensive than TT or Align - in fact, some parts are cheaper are they not?

Even if some components are a few pence more, isn't the difference in quality is is worth it?

Yes everything went up in the price hike BUT RJX were silly
£12 for blade grip arms RIP OFF
YES they might be better quality than align ,tt BUT if you pushing your flying and crashing,
It doesn't really matter IMO
THE main reason is, if bob at rossmod doesn't have a part,your grounded mate,
at least there's plenty of allign,tt stockist to choose from.

They are a lovely looking machine i agree, almost like a 50 size aurora and i did concider one a while back before the velocity came out but the spares cost and only one distributer put me off, they are just not a few pence cheeper, you can get 4 trex 600 main shafts for the price of one on the rjx.
a seperate section would be a good idea though.

Where do you get your Align spares from? Can I have the link please?

Best I can see is Fastlad doing a twin pack of Main Align Shafts for just under a tenner. RJX do their twin pack for just over a tenner.

I agree totally as will Unleashed666 when he sees this.I have a H50(jr airskipper) and the parts are the same part numbers as jr except bando for rjx is £6.95 jr bando £16.95 rjx clutch £12.95 jr clutch £45.00 and they are the same parts.Also my heli cost £100 less than the jr new complete with full metal head assy jr you just get metal grips.And yes they are same grips as mine.I will move to a x50 in time.So c,mon mods room for another ?

Was working great till the main gear totally stripped after a few Tic Tocs

Been flying the RJX X-Treme since the first prototype. I did have problems with the blue straight cut gear, but have had zero issues since changing to the helical gear set. As yours is the 09, it would have come with the helical gear as standard

Is there any play in the pinion gear into the clutch bearing block, was your gear mesh set correctly and are there any burrs on the pinion?

Another thought, my flying has been with an OS 50 hyper and TT53. Is your heli fitted with one of the new big block engines? The delrin machine cut helical gear should be more than upto this new kind of power output, but I have yet to upgrade my heli engine

Yep, the mesh was set just as the manual stated and I can't see any burrs. I am however running the Novarossi 57 which is an absolute 'Power House'. Are you saying the '09 gears may not be up to it?

Need to call Ross Mods today to see what's what.

I would have thought that the gears are more than up to it, but I was just looking at all the possibilities!

I will be collecting a Novarossi shortly and it will be going in one of my x-tremes which has been running perfectly so I will see if that is the problem.

Anyone know how to adjust the mesh on the RJX 50? The frame holes are round so no room for adjustment there!! Don't know what else to think of

I have the Hurrican 50 prototype built by Richard Budd and reviewed in Rotor world and then turnd into the Pro and reviewd last month in rotor world - yep love it! Great there is a forum! Parts and service no problem from Rik at Rossmod. Why be the same as everyone else?
