They look as blingy as my aurora, do like the look of them but never really heard to much good or bad.
How many people own these in the uk and what do they think of them, Have they got full programmable head like the aurora.

        Hi moonmanflyer

Yes they have a fully programable head just like the Aurora

I have been flying them for around 2 years and in that time I have had only 1 problem and that was wearing out the carbon tail pushrod. All new kits also include the latest updates free of charge and this includes a helical gear set, which was one of the few weak points.

They are a builders kit - not that they are hard to build, but they do benefit from being put together properly. Those that can build will be rewarded with the best (in my opinion) 50 size heli on the market. Spares back-up is fantastic and most parts are around the same cost as the more popular 50machine.

No. The 2009 version has a slightly different canopy shape and also has a torque tube drive amongst other changes.

I sold my RJX a while back.

3 stripped gears and £200 worth of repairs on a £500 kit added up to an expensive lesson It was on the bench more than in the air. Support was not feasible due to the distance to the supplier.

Have had more 'airtime' with my 600 in a week that I had with the RJX in 4 months!

After my initial 'love' for the RJX, I wouldn't recomend it to anyone that can't physically travel to the supplier and I now understand why there aren't that many out there.

hi i had a trex 600 nitro and electric but i find the rjx an excellent helicopter and in my view better than the trex , the spares may not be as easy to get as the align but i always order parts what ever heli i own as i can not get to the shops, ross mods and trexmad sell them and i have also brought from bfcarbon in canada, shipping takes around 4 days, as for the gears the blue ones are weak so i only use the white cnc cut ones which are the same price, you just have to make sure everything is inline as its a builder kit, its a shame they dont sell more as they are excellent and very good in a crash aswell, plus the parts are on par with align now and you get two on some things aswell

Just for info, it was 3 of the helical (white) gears that stripped - all on their first outing

The 2009 does not have elongated holes for the clutch and engine assemblies so in theory the mesh is as it should be. However, the mesh of the 3 gears were all different which suggested that the QC was not as good as it could have been. I ended up having to file the frames to set the mesh correctly but even then the gears had 'high points'.

Yes, the majority of the RJX engineering is superior to the 600, but it's not a JR and in my opinion is heavily overpriced. The MinAir via FastLad will be a far more sensible investment if one wants a high end 50. However, if you want a well priced quality performer, buy an Outrage

It's horses for courses I guess!

hi i have the older 2008 version, i have stripped a blue gear but that was my fault i do not use the helical gears but the white cnc straight cut, but i only paid 75 pounds for the kit and that was brand new, so a bargain!! i here the outrage is good but not heard off the minair
