Thanks for clearing that up. Prob with written word it can be misinterpreted in the context it was made and in this case was then by me. On face if it just thought you were been rude. Now putting that slide as you clearly weren't the smiley face was lost. The thing to note is a setup with 14 or whatever degrees you decide on doesn't necessarily mean you use it constantly in flight. A larger range with linear curve gives more sensitivity and = less collective travel to achieve the same moves. Nominal pitch required stays the same. You could of course use expo to achieve the same result or pitch pump facility. If your power can take it some moves and utilising your chosen range can be very rewarding.

Totally. I was also maybe neglecting to take note of the experience of the op. Because as you say... if you run 14 you are not going to be using it all the time so to speak. But if you are novice or a nervous flyer (lots of which i know) it can cause nightmares as your callously yanking the collective around constantly over compensating for any slight change in altitude. Then you are using it all the time. I don't suffer from that problem by the way... But that is the mindset i was speaking from. Obviously that comment was followed by me being told that pro's run 14 degrees of pitch.... ... i know lol. But i wasn't realising that fact that everyone on this board is a pro .... Joking aside, maybe i misjudged the experience of the op. I certainly did not wish to offend anyone or their ability in what i was saying. Was more friendly advice on a common problem i see a lot of people have. But people of lesser experience shall we say. You get what i'm saying anyway

To get back to the op's question(s). IMO, If you are a novice 14 degrees is too much and you will be making life harder for yourself. If you are an experienced and competent pilot 14 degrees will be fine. Forgive my ignorance for not knowing which category you fall into

Busterboy i went with the 560kv motor as i believe that is what CY recommended at the time for the ENV before bringing out the special edition version. Not sure though it was a while ago when i chose my electronics setup.
