Not sure why my other thread closed so here is a carry on to that.
Rave Ballistic which was awesome on 12s but short flying time with the Next D 4525 so had to improve. I went 15s using just a 3s pack on an Xxtreme so thought why not add a 2s pack to my standard 12s stick packs? Thats what I did and the results are impressive.
On 12s 4000mah Gens run time was 4:30. On 14s same Headspeed and flying time up to 6:20.
I'm currently using a YGE 160HV and separate 2s lipo for rx power. Just twigged I can use the 2s flight pack and remove the rx pack reducing another lipo and a little weight.
Here are a few pics as per Jamin's request. Helical steel tail gears, I removed the helical main gear only as I needed to drop the pinion to get proper ratio's and the helical option wasn't available in 11t.
