Had this heli for a few months now and am really pleased with it, just put the black cano on and i reckon it looks a bit spesh now !

YS 120sr been running faultlessly and really suits this big heli!

I have yet to really fly mine as the first motor I had in it fried out on the maiden flight (just hovered a bit). Then I had to massively upgrade my PSU for charging, so now I am about to get moving again with it soon.

(I also have the red and white canopy)

Has anyone put the metal tail gears on their nitro ENV, not even sure if you can?

As for the metal gears I might be wrong but I think I guy on runryder has used some on his nitro!

Here's my electric ENV and Ballistic. Both have the same motor & ESC configuration but they fly slightly differently.
By the way, you can fit the metal gears to the ENV but I didn't bother as I'm happy with the stock plactic ones.

I have metal gears in mine and they are a bit of a pain IMO. It's very hard to get the mesh spot on and in the first few flights the gears screamed like a fighting cat when the tail was pushed. I think their now wearing in and it happens less. I also think the beast of a motor is pushing them really hard which makes it worst.

They look awesome loving the green ballistic !!!! is there much difference in the way the ballistic peforms from the ENV??

Yes the Ballistic really is "BALLISTIC"
Its much quicker in fast forward flight than the ENV and is quicker on cyclic input too.

Here is mine ,brought as a nitro 2nd hand and just converted it to electric. I will be flying her for the first time tomorrow. so fingers crossed.
ive gone for the green canopy and tails. i pondered with getting the yellow but as we have such sunny weather in the uk i thought i may get lost against the sun.

I was at the F3C comp in Tring last weekend and noticed that some of the guys were leaving the battery tray in and just putting the LiPos in separately and then strapping them in. I haven't tried that yet but after struggling to get the whole try in from the front with Lipos attached, I might give that a go. I was hoping to see some uber clever thing someone had worked out but no revelations.

I am having 2nd thoughts about the whole big electric thing though, so we'll see. I just think the weight and bulk of LiPos will be too much to manage at the moment, but maybe I'm just in a bad mood :-)
