Are all mod1 helical gears the same?

Hi all,
Would a Synergy E6/E7 14t helical pinion fit if it is mod 1 (same as CY helical pinions) with same shaft size?Its certainly the right length relative to the standard CY pinion. Are the helical angles all the same?

I have been sold a Trex 700 14t but its too long and needs the Rave motor mount spacers which I would rather not use if I can avoid it.

Hi Cliff,

I am 99.9% certain that the Synergy Helical Pinion won't match up to the Rave Helical main gear as the helical angle is slightly different.

Ok guess its back to the shop again to get the spacer plates lol

Well got the plates and was going well but the pinion is still slightly too tall. While it now fits within the pinion support housing
when I mount the main gear and the motor the main gear runs slightly too close to the base of the pinion.

Tomorrow I'll try moving the spacers between the main gear and tail drive gear which hopefully will drop it 1mm.

If that doesnt work I'll have to abandon the helical gears. Only option would be to fit a 13t CY pinion. On the CC ESC that would give a max headspeed of about 1850. Suppose that may do for my general flying but would be happier with 1950 which 14t gives.

Could fit a 560kv motor of course but thats another £100+ so not worth it just to be quieter!!
I can always grease the standard main gear lol

Well got impatient and looked into moving the spacers... and forgot that removing the sleeve from the one way bearing is a VERY BAD IDEA!!! So of course the pins have now fallen out. So I'll be another £80 out of pocket and end up with the standard gear back on. So all in all about £110 mistake.
