Not really sure what you mean my friend. The Futaba FASST 2.4Ghz system requires one horizontal and one vertical facing antenna wire's only for perfect operation. I've been doing exactly this for the past 2 years and no probelms.
It looked like there was a lot of shadowing with all that carbon. I'd definitely route my Futaba antennae the same way you have there if it's really not a problem, but I have it stuck out the back in a V shape because I thought shadowing was a problem. I'll take experience over theory any day.
