  • My New Rave Ballistic

I have had an absolute ball building my new Rave Ballistic for this coming years flying season. Hope you enjoy the pic's. I'm hoping to have a canopy and boom painted in the SAB Goblin colour scheme(Green) by insane canopy as I think that'll look really cool.

Here's a list of whats installed:

Scorpion 4525-520Kv LE motor (will be swapped for the new Ultimate motor when it arrives)
    Scorpion 130amp ESC
    3 x Futaba BLS252's on cyclics
    1 x Futaba 251 on tail
    BeastX v3 Flybarless system
    Emcotec magnetic safety switch system
    2 x Optipower 6S 35c 5000Mah Li-Po's (12s brick)
    Perfect regulator + Voltz 7.2v 2500Mah Li-Po (onboard electronics)
SAB 690mm main blades + SAB 110mm tail blades (Radix in pictures)

I still have my electric ENV, but I'm hoping to install that into the new ENV fuselage when Curtis releases it later this year.

No, its the ENV plastic tail gear version, but with a helical main gear & pinion. I didn't see the point of using metal gears on the tail as something will need to give, god forbid it should go in !!

                Ben.
I've been a bit busy looking for another job, so thats why I've been quiet lately !!

Unfortunately, the sliding battery tray cant be adapted to fit the ENV as the side frames are very different.
                  THATS A BUMMER !!

Bit of an egg suction tuition question here, but since that looks really expensive I don't mind showing my ignorance - I could only see two antennae straight onto the body - is there not a massive blind spot on the opposite corner?

Not really sure what you mean my friend. The Futaba FASST 2.4Ghz system requires one horizontal and one vertical facing antenna wire's only for perfect operation. I've been doing exactly this for the past 2 years and no probelms.
