An effective monopoly is never good for consumers.
So people will stop buying them and the supplier shoots themselves in the foot, there are plenty of other products on the market to buy instead, most of them better anyway. If you have a politcial motive in this then its a big issue but as a customer you are hardly short of alternative products.

If i flew rave models and used the Total G which TBH aint gonna happen and the prices went up or supply dried up then the shine would be taken off those products so i would be attracted to an alternative one,its really not a big deal.

Not exactly sure how I could have a 'political' motive here, just the simple one of having recently invested in CYE products on the basis that they were well distributed in the UK with a little healthy competition between retailers so finding spares at reasonable prices shouldn't be an issue most of the time, only to find a couple of weeks later that everything was set to change.

Can't exactly buy 'alternative' spares can I?

So let's wait and see I guess, if I can still buy what I need from multiple outlets in a few months time and prices have not gone up then I'll have no reason to complain.

For sure it would be of concern if you had recently invested in CYE products so i totally understand where you are coming from, but i am pretty confident that fastLads will maintain a healthy supply of spares and dont see why they would ramp up the prices.

On the whole i think its fair to say FL have got to where they are by providing a good overall service and so building a big customer base, certainly time will tell but i dont see why from a customers point of view CYE products will not continue to be readily available.

Also i know full well some of the underhand tactics certain shops use against others but loyalty to shops means nothing to me,their prices and having the stuff i want do.

When i first brought into Mikado products the supplier who i cant even now remember stopped importing them but FL soon picked up on it and carried the brand forward.

I can't see what possible reason CYE could have.

Climbout order all they can get and sell all they can get very very quickly so why would they want to switch.

What have they been promises that apparently climb out could not do. Nothing to do with advertising as I already said te products sell well so what?????

I just find it strange that CYB would want FastLads to distribute their blades, considering they also distribute EDGE?

FastLad just trying to dominate the market no doubt.

sounds like an extremely stupid move for a brand. Align will be eating their lunch and yes Align does manufacture decent blades.

Look at climbouts website, looks very barren are they going out of business just like the other brands which I thought were going quite strong such as Concept Copters, TREXMAD, Real Raptors, simply TREX and blink trading, seems like they are all being hit by the reccesion. The two strong established names I can think off at the moment are Midland and Fastlads. I don't think its a good time to start up a new company you need a lot of capital to buy in a load of stock (RISK) and you are forever trying to build a customer base. I as a customer who isn't loyal to any shop. If the part isn't in when I need it, I move on to a company who has stock of the item I want and at the price that I want. I tend to stick with them until they let me down, theres nothing personal.

Climbout are a distributor, not a retailer like the shops you have mentioned above.

An example. The two blades which lead the market share at the moment in my opinion are EDGE and Radix.

Fastlad now distribute them both, so there is no competition at all.

If they want to up their prices, they will.

How can this be good for customers?
