I have got some of those and will fit soon. Thankfully that was the only thing I forgot to fit to the model before the first flight! :-D

Nice to hear you've finish it Paul. (a new record for Paul, 10 days. ). Hopefully you'll be down at the field this weekend so we can see this record breaking build.

Looks like my Logo600se is on hold, spend the cash on new bedroom furniture.
And before you ask what size blades you use on bedroom furniture, I've already ask that question, the misses wasn't amused.
Hopefully see you at the weekend.....Mike

              Hi Marty,

In terms of build and quality it is up there with the Millie and N9, which I both felt where the best machines quality wise I have had.

But design wise it is far superior to the Millie, things have of course moved on since those days flying wise, so that is to be expected.

With the good quality and nice design I'm expecting this to be a keeper and give me lots of flying for years to come.

Err ..... as for the Masters. I think the rest of the world has caught up and over taken me on the Pro 3D stakes. But I still enjoy the hobby so keep going. I've seen alot of good pilots come and go over the years. I think the Sceudo EVO 50 year was my best at 3DM, just a shame it was so windy that year as I think I could have had Danny even with his Raptor 90, if it hadn't been so windy! Nice that you remembered.

              Cheers

I could have taken the mick about blade size and bedroom furniture.

                BUT

I'll take the mick about the fact you can't count!! I make it 7 Days not 10!! ;-D

Not quite a record for me, but is for modern times!

I've got a picture of you and it in a book by Russ Deakin. So what do pilots do when 3D is maybe not for them anymore, do you not fancy F3C

Ohhh I still 3D, just not as good as I used to be!! Comes down to motivation.

'Back in the day' I used to fly 5-7 days a week, flying about 80-100 gallons of fuel a year.

Nowadays, I am lucky if a fly 1-2 week and do about 15 gallons a year! Which is still more that most, but if you wanna play with the Big Boys there is no substitute for sticktime!

Every year I think I will have a go at F3C, but that would take more dedication/motivation than 3D I think. The moves are easy but as a discipline it is very hard!

This year I am setting up a Flight School of sorts, so there are always other things in the hobby to keep it interesting!

As for the pic in Russ' book, be nice to see that, and I'll ask him about royalties next time I see him !! :-D

                    Cheers

It's in his introduction to 3D flight, an excellent book for anyone that has gone past the hovering and forward flight stage. I'll tell him your after the royalties your owed Paul he's just joined MK Heli club

                        3 more flights today:

Started leaning out the engine and turned up the cyclic rate on the V-Bar.

It was very windy today, but I was very pleased with the progress of the machine through the day.

It is very locked in and feels to be flying/rolling/flipping very straight despite being tail heavy (need to fit a bigger lipo to balance out). Obviously this is alot to do with the V-Bar, rather than the Heli.

Because of the FBL setup it is hard to compare with other 90 I have owned. But each time I walked back to the pits I felt chuffed about the flight and the last machine that did that for me was when I first got my Synergy N9's and that was a while ago!

Tail power was very good, holding some BIIIIG Backwards loops without a hint of moving off line. Also did some piro stuff and the tail was consistant too.

                          3 more flights today:

I can confirm this helicopter is just like every other helicopter I have ever owned......

I thought it would be different......

                          But no......

It can crash just like all the rest :-S

I hate new helicopters, they are never quite right until you have given them a good crashing.

Main + Tail Blades, Canopy, Skids, Tail Gears (Front and Rear), Auto Drive Gear, Maingear, Some links, Tail Fin, Tail Pitch Slider, Tail Hub, Boom that I can see before I rip into it. And will likely change the spindle and mainshaft to be on the safe side!

Sorry to hear about the crash Paul, unfortunately you'll now experience one of the biggest current issues with owning a Rave 90, which is that the parts availability isn't great. I crashed my Rave when it was flybarred and ended up having to use a Velo 90 flybar as there were no Rave flybars in the country!

Hope you can get all the bits and have it flying again soon.
