Yeah I am sharing the Kosmik between two, maybe three helis. The only difficulty with it is finding a suitable place to mount it but now the Ballistic and the Triabolo will have pretty much exactly the same layout, so all the wires reach to the right places.

Those are AceRC DS1015 servos, you don't hear much about them but they are quite good (and they look cool ).

It's ready to go now. I could have had it done ages ago but I was working on other things and then when I went to drill new holes for the rear canopy mounts my cheapy roto-tool would not do the job. So I got a new drillbit and eventually got them drilled. If I was going to use the Ballistic canopy I wouldn't have to drill anything but since I already had four ENV canopies I'd like to be able to use them so a new mount position is needed about 20mm above where the Ballistic canopy mounts go. This is so that the ENV canopy sits forward enough at the opening around the swash and the lines in the graphics sit level with the boom.

The Ballistic frames allow a very clean and tidy arrangement of electrics, plenty of room for everything. I'm finding the easiest way of loading / changing LiPos is to attach the front one to the tray and slide the tray in then load the rear one from underneath. This way it's easier to feed the battery wires where they need to go. But they can also be both strapped on the tray and it's not as fiddly as some helis due to very few obstructions underneath, really just the front skids that you have to fish the wires over to slide the tray in.

Hideous , well it's very good quality. I have a blue one with roughly the same design. I like them all but I still think the original orange and white factory design is very nice.

The Ballistic canopies are lower profile and a bit narrower as well so they look more streamlined. I got a yellow one with the conversion kit but have intentionally left it un-touched in case I decide to sell it.

Pretty sure you know my thoughts on the Ballistic Sheryl, such an underrated heli in the Uk, shame as they really are good and pretty simple. You will like it I'm sure.
However, I think mine may well stay on the shelf more now that I've got the Faifa flying today!

Yeah I really need to order the parts to get my Faifa going again, I've just been waiting for the old finances to catch up a bit and just got another freelance project so I should be in the black soon.

If it helps, I'm selling this canopy from my Ballistic as I've got a new colour scheme now. The canopy is Pristine and unmarked and its a straight fit onto a ballistic.

Man that canopy is stunning! I just noticed you put a carbon tail pushrod on there, what guides did you use?

The canopy looks even better in the flesh as its based on the original Goblin 700 paint scheme and exact same colours.
The carbon pushrod and guides are from a century predator gasser. The parts can be sourced through Century UK.

If your interested in the canopy, just let me know.

                        Cheers

I thought those guides looked familiar. I have a Predator gasser - it's dissasembled at the moment though and I need to put it back together.

I like the canopy a lot but as I have four ENV canopies plus a yellow factory Ballistic one, I would hope someone else would give it a good home. I am curious to see your new colour scheme though.

Here you go then. Canopy and boom by Insane Canopy. The colours look much brighter in natural daylight and really stand out.

I am hoping to maiden mine tomorrow assuming the weather keeps up its part of the bargain. I should have some useful log data on motor and BEC amp draws. I am starting with my idle1 and 2 at 1565 and 1805 (based on a guess at the motor KV but the logs will show the actual headspeeds).
