  • Put the RAVE in!

Well it must be 120 flights and this is the first crash so it was well due, did a dumb thumb moment and now I gotta repair it.

Got lots of parts already but Im going to have to at least order both main and tail blades as well as boom and main gear. I already have all the shafts, bevel gears, flybar, bearings and landing gear so Im gonna start the rebuild now. Bit gutted I got a few chips in the new canamod but Im chuffed the side frames didnt break as I havent got my stiffners yet.

Here's some pics for you sicko's that like to see others carnage

Unlucky mate but having said that, first crash after 120 flights, that's a lot of savings! should get it back to air asap!

I think I got off lightly compared to your avro Paul this is gonna cost less than £100 probably nearer £75 to get airbourne (Including £40 for the radix mains) I feel bad for your crash! I've had good innings anyway. New Landing gear is on already main shaft is coming out next

Hopefully wont be long, I have pretty much done everything on the head I can do with the parts I had in stock. I just need a new main gear, 2 blade grip bearings, 2 links and the main blades to finish the body/head off. Will look at the tail tomorrow.

Here's the damaged parts from the front end. Its starting to look like a reasonabley cheap crash considering.
