Rave tail gb t-piece bent

Right story.
Servo failiure on rave = bang into the ground about 3 weeks ago, all nicely rebuilt, but on test fly the tail was wagging.
Anyway after checking it over noticed the t-piece that holds the pitch slider was damaged, bent slightly, tried to straighten but not to much luck so decided to get another, like aligns i thought would be avaliable seperate, but oh no, got to buy the whole tail gearbox at near on 40 quid
There is no way i am paying that sort of money for one little part, stupid.
I have talked to Rob of evoRC and it is not the first time this has come up.
Anyway, if anyone has had this issue, best to email Rob as he is trying to put an argument together to Younblood to supply this part seperate, hopefully if enough people moan, it might work.
Don't moan to Rob, but direct it towards youngblood and they might do something about it.

At the moment my rave is still flyable but has a slight wag so and the tail is not fully locked in, feels a bit woolly. Would love to have my rave back to full health, is my evening park thrash tool and love the thing, but there is a limit.

I would email/pm Buzzin Brian off helifreaks ... he is a part of the curtis team and seems to look after Rave users ... Im sure he could sort something out or at least he's the person to bring it to the attention of! if the parts were ever going to be split he's the guy to start the ball rolling.

will nothing else fit? Maybe an Align or BEAM part perhaps? Might be a simple workaround to it without the wait and I'd guess a set of each equivalent part across the other 450's still wouldn't amount to £40.

Don't think so Andy, the boom is a larger diameter than other 450's out there, and the slider is completely different to others on the market at the moment.

Many many thanks Roger, you are a star and one will be in the post to me in the next day or 2. And hopefully will be sorted with CYE in the future as well., super service from both climbout and Evorc, and thanks to Adie from the Hobby hangar that also contacted Roger to make him aware of the issue.

Mark, yep had a chat with Roger and all good, but thanks for the pm, have emailled CYE just as to say if they will do the spare as a seperate item, many thanks
