Actually when using vbar most people I saw running the Rave swapped the inner swash balls for shorter ones to get the geometry needed. So maybe with the FB grips and the standard longer balls on the swash might be achieving the same thing. I think I need to do some measuring.

The bottom line is that the FBL unit will want to 'see' a certain pitch range within a certain range of servo motion. Some are optimised for more reduction than others but the point being that the reduction can happen anywhere between the servo shaft and the blades.

Yeah exactly. Got the Rave on the way from Maj so I will have a flyable model and the one I got off eBay to use as a parts mule. Will do some measurements and see what's what once it gets here
