So who's still flying Rave helis?

Well everything I'm hearing seems to indicate that CYE are just not keeping up with demand for helis and spares and so the demand for them is disappearing. Nothing new and shiny from them either to keep people buying new kits.

It kind of seems like they're all but discontinued over here as demand drops off.

This is seems a shame but it got me wondering. How many people here fly raves?

personally I just have a Ballistic now, but it's a great heli, very well thought out.

I know at least two other Ballistics besides you (and myself), so that's four I am aware of. When I was at the Midland flyin there were also two nitro ENVs. I keep meaning to email CY HQ or one of the field reps and just ask what the situation is. I'll just keep flying mine until a day comes when something breaks that I cannot replace and then I'll move all the electrics to something else. I do wish I didn't have quite so much invested in the airframe but so it goes, it's certainly not my most expensive heli and it is built like a tank so it should keep going for a good while if I don't dumb-thumb it into terra firma.

I just realised I don't have any pics of it with the Ballistic canopy.

I have 3 ENV's, a Ballistic and a Rave450, love how they fly all went down hill when the distributor changed, same with Radix blades you used to see them everywhere now you just don't see them

The Raves are a great machine I wish CYE would get some support for us customers who have invested a lot of money in these machines

Me and my friend have a rave env, we was at the midland doo, that's were trillian saw us. They are fantastic machines and I have not found nothing else that comes close to how nice they fly.

My Rave Ballistic 700 is still by far the best heli in my fleet. It's a real shame we don't see more ENV's and Ballistics about as they fly so nice !!

Couple of flights on my Ballistic today. Its odd as my only other 700 has been a 700e. The ballistic feels so much lighter in the air, very agile ( which is still a bit scary ) but at the same time stable. Loving it.

At the moment the only way I can see you could buy a new 635 would be to buy a 700 kit off eBay and change the boom and TT. I still have my 635 kit which I was going to build but I'm loving the 700 so haven't bothered. I don't think fast lads will get more in.

Been flying mine again today. Turned the DR down to tame it up a bit and put some expo in as I was running it straight at 100% which is why it was a complete animal lol. One of my club mates recons I should turn the tail piro rate down too but it's awesome at 100%

Yeah Fast-lad told me they are not getting the 635 kits in any more oh well, I think I will just get an Trex
