Outrage velocity n2

Hi all,
This is my first time on here so not sure if this has been done before. I'm after a new 50 size nitro and love the looks of the outrage kit but have been put off by some bad reviews on quality mainly. What is the general view on the outrage or do I just stick with the usual trex 600n. Any input will be greatly appreciated as you all know how hard it is to choose a new heli when it comes down to it!

I have the electric version (Fusion 50) and I think the quality is good, not sure where all this bad quality comes from unless it was in earlier Outrage kits or something, I've even owned a Rave ENV which cost me a fortune and tho the Fusion 50 is not up there for quality with the Rave I think it is damn close for the money.

Outrage have had some issues with gears stripping on the Fusion/Velo kits but is easily rectified with some simple steps when installing them.

I have the velo n2 kit mate. And the quality is very good for the money it was when the first velocity 50 came out I think there was issues but these have all been sorted now. The kit is a great heli it flys better than a trex I think the better quality then a trex
Its bigger so will feel bigger and be more stable in the if your after that or it can be a beast =p. it also looks a lot better. And it crashes well =]


Ohh and the black gears are fine on mine. But if your still worried you can but the new Cnc machined one =p

I have a fusion 50 aswell, I would say the machining of the parts is to the same quality as my fury 55. the big differance is the materials but theres nothing wrong it.
No bits fall off and nothing bends in flight and it really does fly very nice.
As Martyn said above the gear issue can be fixxed easily when your building it up.

I have a Velo 90.. I must say its not the quality thats the issue.. more like poor QC on some parts. Bar the gear problem (not that I have experienced it but I dont fly that hard) The kit went together fine.. it was things like the carbon cutting (edge of frames etc) that some was not a clean cut and kind off staggered with a powdery white look finish.. with me being sooo anal.. I sanded it all down and painted the edge black, lol!

Wow thanks for all the fast responses! All sound really positive too so I'm going to go for it and get one ordered up now. The gear issue was the main one I had read about and also someone on here called guy I think having a really bad time with one. Getting excited already about flying it. Thanks

Get it ordered mate you won't regret it if you have an issue or need abit of help just drop me a pm the most important think with the gears is to just check non of the umbrella gears move in the plastic boom block but I it's been sorted out I. Think as mine was fine

Well..... I ordered the kit last week and spent most of the weekend building it and have got to say im made up with it. The quality of the kit is outstanding and it went together perfectly. Im yet to maiden it but that will be a job for this weekend Coming from only owning align helicopters a 450 pro and 500 efl pro which are both great, i really think this outrage is a step above at the moment. Just have to wait till the weekend to see how she flies. Thanks to all that posted advice when i was unsure on which one to go for.
