G5 flybarless

Outrage recently released their flybarless head for the G5. Unlike most other 450 size conversions this isn't some bodge over of the flybarred head. This is a proper designed for flybarless head system
Notice how much shorter (height wise) the heli is, which makes for a real nice performing flybarless head.

I maidened mine this morning with a quick hover in the garden using the skookum sk360 for the digital flybar. Was nice and stable despite the wind and the cyclics feel like they will be pretty quick for full on 3D.

The head conversion is about £30 I think......then you have to add in the various electronics for the digital flybar. BlinkTrading have the conversion kits so you'd need to check their site to get the price to the penny.

I'm very tempted to try the Skookum myself, so I'll be watching this closely Ash.
How easy was it to set up for initial flights?
I think the biggest thing that puts me off trying one is the thought of trying to get all the variable settings right.
Looks fantastic though!

it's not too difficult to setup, the software is pretty easy to understand and gives you visual indications when you have got it right.

I'm doing a video on how to set one up, so that should make it a bit more accessible for those who may find it a bit daunting.
