  • outrage velocity vs outrage velocity v2

hi im looking into building a 50 size nitro, and really like the look of the outrage kits, i dont really like align..

are these helis better than a titan x50?
Are these helis easily ssetup etc and most important of all the differences in the v1&v2? which is better?

well i can help you with the differences between the n1 and n2 but carnt comment on the x50

    the n2 is
    * lighter
    * has new servo layout for better cg
    * has frame stiffeners to help stop the frames brake in a crash
    * more room for the wiring
    * and has a A arm instead of a anti rotation bracket
there may be a few more that i am unsure of

and yes they are very easy to set up just follow the instructions and set the links bang on and its nealy perfect just mite need one or 2 turns depending on the servo wheels you use you aslo get a pin that slides through the bell cranks and the frames to get ) pitch

    hope that helps

Ive just built a N2 and i was happy with the quailty of the kit but i have not had many flights on it yet but i know this thing will be a rocket in the air and time will tell how they hold up as for align my 600n just works time and time again

The N2 is slightly more resilient than the V2, but it's still no where near as hardwearing as a Trex 600.Every time I go out with it I have some sort of problem, gears stripping, bearings failing, links cracking, screws breaking etc so you always have take a spare model with you as back up! That said my N2 OS55, BeastX flies better than any other Heli that size I've ever flown!

So they're not very durable or is it just the new v2 design still needs to work out the bugs?
From what I've researched I can see that the outrage seems to be ahead in any other brand in the 50 size helis?

i have had no problems with mine at all the bearings will go in a crash carnt see how they failed in a flight tho and i have not striped any gears yet only in a crash witch is normal for any tt heli and i found mine to be very durable in a crash with no majour parts braking just the normal ones you would expect on any model

and i find the screws to be good better than align not rounding out every time you take it out haha and only had a link crack in a crash

I have to admit the quality from Align is better, although they have had more practice than Outrage and more mistakes. The alloy bits seem to be of the same sort as Align, I haven't crashed the Fusion yet thank God but the 600 has been in more times than hot dinners. It still comes back for more, easy to get spares for and everyone knows all the little niggles. Why don't you like Align? Seems an odd statement for a company who has probably made the hobby more accessible to many

Cant comment on the n2. had a first generation and it flew nice. moved back into .90 and now with a g4 having seen an x50 i would be tempted with it over the n2 if i was to go back to a 50 size.
                      Cheers

Fair enough but don't go thinking that Outrage are better from a quality standpoint. Try looking at the Ma Fury, Synergy etc if you're looking for quality and exclusivity
