velo 90 wow

took the velo out for four tanks this morning and it was awesome.
i have managed to find the sweet spot with the os 90 it was pulling like a train don't ask me how first time in a year and a half of flying and tuning i finally get it lol.
what a machine it flies so strait its by far the sweetest heli i have flew, a thought my old trex 600 le was good and it was but this thing feels like a rolls Royce compared to it and the ely q 90.
i cant wait to get some more air time with it im still a little scared of breaking it as its my first new build

good to hear-what do you find different over the elyq? i thought they were fairly well thought of so would think flew well?

It's just so precise, it might be because its all new and tight, and it has more throw on the cyclic than the Ely q so it rolls quicker it just felt locked in and right I did the best piro flips ever, maybe the Ely q feels the same when its new I don't know mine are second hand, I will be selling the Ely qs for sure to bye a shed load of crash spares for the velo as its a keeper

Thanks mate, yes they are sweet bit of a worry when you first build them as the gears are so tight but like you said they soon bed in,
I'm going to really enjoy this heli

Just flown the Fusion 1st,it 'just' feels nicer to fly,perhaps its just me being more 'comfy' with it after the few niggles ive had with the velo,time will tell

ha,wait till you see the one ive just done,couldnt even string 2 circuits in a funnel together,then after a few autos i started to panic cos i struggled to get back on the patch my pitch management went pear shaped and it dropped like a stone 4 or 5 feet,no damage done thank gawd lol
Its very gusty and im using the club windbreak so you forget how windy it is.The anemometer is 14mph gusting to 20!

lol apart from that and the funnels it was a good flight..was a bit rich too so if the wind eases i will try again

And velo's crash well, i stuck mine in a tree at the weekend (yes Nick same old tree) as i ran out of fuel completely while doing side on tic tocs, hit a 100ft old oak tree at the top, went through the middle of it and out the bottom, £47 for all the parts, luckily no blade damage and the canopy has a little mark which will be covered by some Outrage stickers.
