    Today I plugged a Kv=710 RPM/V motor into the 550.
    The heli was a bit lazy, it doesn't reach enough headspeed on both 14 and 15 tooth pinions, especially at the end of the pack.
    The motor runs considerably cooler than earlier the Scorpion 4025-1100, and the 80 A ESC gets barely warm. And that after flying a whole battery pack only tictocs. Hmmm it was lacking punch, more like tiiiiic-tooooooc

    In a week, I'll do the same again with a 17 tooth pinion, which I ordered today.
    Why? It feels stupid to waste half of my battery for heating that Scorpion motor. Yes and oiling the bearings gets old...

    I'd love to try the Neu 1907H-1.5Y, even though the specs are probably a bit understated, 1.2 kW only (in the 450 I run the 1107 WAY beyond specs and it survives).

    Which ESC are you using?
    I went from the Scorpion 100 amp to the Align 100 amp and there was a night and day difference in power!

      I to run mine on an align 100amp ESC and has bags of power on a 6S setup, can't remember off hand which motor i run, is the most powerfull 6S one if that helps.

        Kontronik Jive 80 HV.
        I also tried timing +10, but it doesn't reach enough headspeed.
        Now toying with the idea of getting 10s LiPos :-)
