Outrage 550, how good?

the 140 degree upgrade isn't out yet but it has differences to the bell cranks as well as posts to fit onto the 140 swash positions. There's some pictures knocking about somewhere where you can see it.

I've got the 140 swash on my Raptor E550 and certainly found it more effective than the stock 90 swash, there's also less interaction to work with than a 120 swash. The E550 has two positions for the bellcranks so apart from having to buy a swash it was an easy conversion.

Well been building for about 3 hrs, got the head all done and the frames all assembled and just put the skids on, lovely easy build, manual page 7 is a bit wild, fasteners everywhere lol.
Stopped for an hour to have a break and will do some more this eve and then crack on again properly tomorrow.

Have the main gear shaft and head all in now, going to start the boom etc later, going to try to get the mechs mostley finished tonight and then do some of the elecs tomorrow.

Well done as much as i can go, need the cyclic servos, hopefully turn up tuesday and need a pinion and scorpion adaptor, also hopefully here tuesday so hoping mid week will be all finished.
Will post some pics as soon as the camera battery has recharged
Really nice easy build, took less than a day, only started it at half 2 yesterday afternoon

Don't know if anyone is interested and not sure if these batteries are any good but worth a look at $118 per 700e battery - HeliFreak. They are only 20C packs (labelled as 15C, hence the price). I've ordered a couple so will be interested to see how they perform.

Apparently HobbyCity are dropping the Zippy packs and changing over to Turningy so they have some faith in them.

Hi James what size pinion you looking for. I used a mikado on my scorpion motor in my 600e. They fit straight on the 5mm shaft. just not sure what pitch outrage use on the teeth of the gears. align use 0.7mod on the 600

Ordered an rhino 11T as recomended for use with the scorpion i have for it.
Can't wait to get it in the air
