Fast-Lad & HeliDirect (US) both stock spares.Originally posted by discoferret View PostCool, is it easy to get spares for it? Or is it abit of a nightmare?
Periodically, things go out of stock. This is never good, but happens to other items - even Align ones...
TBH, I periodically get a bit paranoid about this; but AFAICS there's no reason to think it's a long-term problem.Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

Just as an update I am still flying my original G5 and in must have 5-600 flights by now, plus still have 2 unbuilt kits (one FB and one FBL) and a stash of spares.
I don't understand why it was withdrawn as it is a really fine and fun machine.
PS mine bit me yesterday due to confusion and unfamiliarity with new TX..... resulted in 13 stiches in two cuts on my left hand and some 4.5 hours in A&E......
The G5 only has a couple of broken linkages and a nick in one main blade.... as they have flown hundreds of flights a new set of blades from the spares stash is probably not unreasonable.Edmund

I dont have a trex 450 but I do have some 500s but prefer the G5, maybe because mr meadow at home is too small for the 500 - I must try a 500 at the club field. You should dig out the G5 - you may be pleasantly surprised,Edmund
