  • Belt noise normal?

    Hi all,
I've just finished the airframe for my new Protos 500 but I'm a little concerned about the noise the belt makes when I turn it over by hand.
I checked the belt wasn't twisted (as best I could, difficult to see) but it makes a noise as if the belt is rubbing on either itself or on the boom.
The noise seems to be coming from the tail gearbox.

I made a quick vid of it, (turn the volume up)

It feels as free as I would expect for a newly assembled belt driven bird, it's just the noise that concerns me.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers D

In the second half of the vid I turn it over more slowly, it's the metallic boomy (as in tailboom, not the noise"boom") sound I was most concerned about.
If y'all think that sounds about right, I'll fly it!

sounds ok, I have found silicone spray on the protos belt to be very beneficial for smooth running.
