Protos 500 Running Very Hot !!!

As per title i have a Protos 500 with LipoTech Motor and Align RCE-BL60G esc on 6 cell 3000 lipo, the esc runs only a little warm but the motor is almost to hot to touch after flights, timing is set to Mid - 15T pinion any suggestions ?????

Any help would be much appreciated !

Those motors do run quite hot so it's nothing abnormal. I put a hyperion in mine.

I've been running this setup for 3 years @ 100% throttle flat with 2650 lipo, 3.5minutes giving it as hard a time as possible. Motor has always run very hot from day one, but just keeps on going. Burnt my finger on it touching the top of it this week with the very warm weather!
