Protos batterys

Hi people,
flying a blade 400 at the mo, and going to step up to a protos. Question is can
I fly the protos using my blade batterys which are Zippy flightmax 2200ma 20c 3 cell if I double them up to 6 cell?
Also how do I turn them into 6 cell?

Shouldn't really see a problem.. but you probably really want some higher capacity batteries to get some duration.

As always a higher C rating would be preferable, and could really depend on what sort of flying that you do.

I fly mine on the align 2600mah 25c packs, and also some 3000mah 35c packs.

The connector you will need will be something like THIS if you are using Deans connectors..You can also make them up youself.

a good choice imho. The protos is a really underated heli! Love mine.

I thought the Protos was underated until I crashed mine, then I found it deserved it;s reputation for being very fragile - one crash and mine is near enough a write-off

I don't know if the carbon framed version is better but the plastic framed is probably bot a good choice for a 'step-up'.

Mine is the Carbon Framed version.. Not sure about the plastic frame version, but tbh I have heard storeys about the fragility of them. On the plus side, spares are pretty cheap though

It's only underated here.
The protos has many followers, and I’ve never heard bad things about it.
There is absolutely no problems whatsoever with this heli, and it’s been upgraded with time.
The plastic compound has been reinforced, and is tougher now.
