Strech kit = bit miffed

Just received the Protos 500 stretch kit from FL and as far as i can tell it's the older kit as it has the replacement motor shaft as opposed to the adapter and not having an arbor press means that this conversion has to be put on hold for the mo.

very annoyed.

plus i can not find the adapter MSH50195 anywhere on the planet

just swap the shaft, 10 min job
you don't need an arbor press

I've just swapped my shaft in mine ,as I've just fitted a scorpion 2520-1360 which had a 4mm warp shaft

ps the original adapters are no longer available only the complete motor shaft

mine was on my my mini protos BUT the same principle on its bigger brother

daz
remove circlip/washer & split motor
remove both grubs screws gripping the shaft
stick motor can/shaft in a pre heated oven @ 70 deg c for 10 mins
then gently tap shaft out from the base end, i use a 4mm allen bit
whilst motor is still warm , fit new shaft in reverse order ,making sure to line up flats on the shaft for the grubs
,then join motor together & fit wave washer/circlip, you can then adjust motor shaft for your float by GENTLY tapping
then retighten grubs
job done

You could try speaking to Zeeflyboy he's based in Switzerland and if I remember correctly he has offered to help other members with purchases from there before. Worth a PM to see if he's willing to help.

Just confirmed with MSHeli that the new kits supply a replacement shaft and not an adapter, and that the manual and marketing images show the old kit.

Kudos to MSHeli for being very quick in responding to customer questions.
