If I were in the market for a 360-380, I'd take this over the Goblin. I prefer it in every way, except maybe the price. It's not cheap!
I just love everything about it. Especially the Evo version. I'd buy the Evo version, then fit the standard boom after a crash.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.
Couldn't be happier with mine, it's a superb little machine.
Build quality compared to an X3 380mm stretch is just night and day, once it's together everything is very precise and beautifully smooth. Even the links are excellent, no slop and totally free moving right from the off.
Wiring is a bit of a fiddle, but soon forgotten once you get it flying. Very smooth and quiet and precise in the air, can capable of handling a huge range of headspeeds. Size wise it's a little longer and skinnier than a Goblin, and much skinnier than my X3's, and you feel that in the air. It's also a lot longer than even an X3 stretch.
At the moment mine is set to run 2300, 2850 and 3250. No wobbles or bobbles at any of those speeds, and even though I'm only flying 1450mAh packs I can get up to 7m40s of flight time. For normal 3D flight I'm getting a comfortable 4m+ of flight time. It'll take up to 1800mAh packs but it's sharing packs with my X3's at the moment which is why I'm just running 1450mAh. The nice thing is there's no need to take the X3 battery trays off, just strap the packs on sideways :-)
Oh and the canopy is a thing of beauty. It looks stunning, and that "click" as you throw it on puts a grin on your face every time :-D
Sounds enticing. Have to wait and see if the insurance pays out, but certainly it would be a contender as an alternative to another warp 360.
Whats the main differences with the evo vs standard versions? IS it mainly the tail boom?
Purely cosmetic. The canopy is a little sleeker, and you get the stronger carbon shaped tail boom. I'd buy the Evo for the better canopy shape (IMO) and just use the aluminium boom if I ever damaged the carbon one. £15 price difference in the kit prices at midland, but £98(!) to upgrade from the standard to the Evo.
If the boom is anywhere near as strong as the 700 version, it will be very hard to break it.

I've just put an order in with Fast lad for one of these. I've not had a small Heli in years. Really looking forward to beating the living s... out of it lol
