It was a silly but relatively cheap crash (apart from blades). It's odd how we all seem happy to pull nitro engines apart but hesitant with the gassers. I've had the jug off mine (easy enough) but you can't re-use gaskets easily.

Choking the preddie - depends on your air filter..if it's one of those round ones then a cut down bean can shoved over it should work (or similar)..even a plastic bag or clingfilm...

Yep, a plastic bag and rubber band is what I was thinking. It's never a problem when it is run regularly. I think maybe the time before last I didn't turn the engine to TDC and as it sat it dried out and nearly took my arm off starting it last time.

Trillian, long story and been documented on RR, but basically a long road of engine issues since pretty much putting in the MAX motor, hoped it was something carb side but that's been on and off 100's of times and replaced, plus different insulator blocks and gaskets including Wally's and can never get the motor to run consistent. If you asked me what it did, it does pretty much everything fromm pulsing, to losing power, unable to shutdown, revving high, bogging and low revs, totally inconsistent...

Malc1 is having exactly the same ordeal on RR at the moment and I will wait to see his outcome, but it looks like motor out now to make any headway...
