  • Logo hollow swash

I crashed today my logo 600, and the main shaft completely broke in half, and I lost the swashplate which, as you know, cost more than 50 quid alone, now my question is why mikado make hollow main shaft? Is there any upgrade or other brand that I can use that are made solid?

It's hollow to save weight, in a crash you are always gong to need a main shaft anyway so whether it's hollow or solid makes no odds but I understand about the loss of the swash plate, that sucks!

Yeah that's why I'm upset about the swash

I think you'll find not only that a solid main shaft would weigh a ton but I think it would be just as likely to be damaged as the hardened main shaft.

The MIK4075 hardened main shaft is very strong, the one way bearing will never chew it up and is unlikely to bend, but rather snap due to the hardening process.

What I'm trying to say is that no matter what main shaft you use, if you come down hard it'll either snap or bend, both would leave it useless. The good news is as it doesn't like to bend on small tip overs or crashes you're more likely to have a good main shaft still.

Yes I do understand your point but if if does bend instead of snap I have more chance to find my swashplate
