Setting Up a CC 160HV Esc with a full size V Bar - no receiver

Anyone give me some idea how I set my CC160HV up to work with my V Bar?

Do I need to set it up using the V Bar governor menu even though I want to use the governor on the ESC?

I have the throttle channel on the TX calibrated to the V Bar software and see + & - 100% on the coloured bar and the ESC is plugged into the collective/esc port on the control unit.

Don't see anything on in the V Bar live panel for the throttle channel though.

Normally you would adjust the Tx's endpoints to get the ESC to initiate but this can't be done here as surely this will mean that you will loose the calibration with the software done earlier.

The ESC was worker previously when it was connected to my 3GX unit and setup/calibration was as per Castles instructions - no problem at all.

This looks to different but I can't find any info.

I just set the end points as per the cc setup and it works fine. Only on fixed end points so far, going to use the 120hv gov as soon as my 11T arrives. I dont think it makes any diff if you change the throttle settings in the tx as the vbar unit is not being used as the gov.

I've tried adjusting the endpoints starting at high stick as per normal but don't getting any tones at all from the ESC.
Moving them up doesn't not initialise the ESC.

I'm not using a receiver only a pair of remote Sats,are you using the same?

2 sats on the mini vbar. Throttle travel (servo setup menu) on my dx8 is 111% and 96%. I did initialy set up all the endpoints on the vbar software to show 100%. Then had a bit of a paddy when I realised that I needed to change them on the tx to get the cc to see high and low. Are you using a brand new setup file/model on the tx?

Just checked vbar setup and I have the following readings on the throttle/esc bar on the transm tab in setup: -110 for low throttle and 48 for high throttle. throttle works fine, have flown 2 pack on the heli today.

OK got it and its sorted.

Ended up with a faulty signal pin on the ESC plug.
The little retaining pip on the plug had broken off letting the pin push out of the plug when it was pushed in the receiver socket.
Cut it off,put a new one on and had another go - all good and quite lucky I think.

Ignore the V Bar throttle calibration unless you are using the V Bar governor.
