      Never seen this error myself, but a possible explanation is that the heli is allowed to move during the initialization phase.

      The V-bar isn't nearly as crazy about the heli being stationary than other units (BeastX, 3G). Nonetheless, be careful to plug in the connector, release the heli (on firm ground so that it doesn't move), and wait until the swash twitches once (if everything goes fine).

        Heard back from mikado today, the elevator sensor was faulty and they are going to send a new v mini v bar out to replace it.

        It has taken around 2 weeks but I suppose the bank holiday did not help.

        Looking forward to finally getting the logo in the air

          Got mine back today with a new sensor, will I have too do a new set up, and will it still be the pro version or do I need to upgrade it.....

            It should still be pro if it came from mikado.

            They emailed me a service report that said the serial number and pro software had been transferred to the new unit.

            Am not 100% if required but will do a new set up anyhow to make sure all is well

              I fried a vbar main box last year. When I sent it back they confirmed total loss and offered a replacement at a lower price, and transferred the pro license to it. I just had to do the pro update when I received it and all has been fine ever since

                I still have the original main box only a new sensor so should be already set up and ready too go, just a case of plugging it back in..

                  Big problem with this one as well, will not initialize on the set up interface, what a pile of rubbish this is, it packed up for know reason, no doubt this will have too go back as well, really cheesed off with it, instead of replacing just the sensor they should have changed the whole bloody thing, and upgraded it too pro as well, what a joke.......

                    Mine did exactly the same about 2 weeks ago, Mr Splatt from Midland most helpful. Getting a vbar service document to return the unit a bit of a pain.

                      No having much luck John :s

                      Sensor plugged in? Plugged in the correct port ..and plugged in the right way round?

                      Have you tried unplugging everything, then powering it up?

                      There isn't much else it could be.

                        Before you send it back, John, download the recovery firmware from the Mikado site, it may well solve your problem and save having to send it back

                          I have had Mr Mel on the case on helifreak, 1st thing he said was the sensor must be plugged into the wrong port, but it is not, he looked at the log and all it has on there is the old bad sensor, so must be the whole thing not right, how it went wrong is a mystery as the heli been hanging up for so long, had issues with it before when it tried too kill the heli, we just moved the sensor and Darren gave it couple of hard flights all seemed ok, then this problem just came about, I did not send it back straight away as I thought I would find someone who would know what is wrong, eventually sent back too F/L just before Easter, now I will have too send it back again hopefully it will not be another 2 weeks, to be honest rather have my money back and go a another way as I dont think I will be sticking too the V Bars......

                            I'm getting this with my brand new full sized vbar

                            Log file shows the same "Ambiguous value on Elevator sensor at init" every time it's powered up It went through the setup OK, but won't work now. Does this have to go back to Mikado or can it go to Align-trex? Gutted, wanted to maiden the 700 this weekend

                                I had the same issue on a new (and not yet flown!) vbar - in my case it was a fault with my Tx (dx6i) gimbal - it was always sending out full negative signal. Sent it back to Horizon and got it back 2 days after I sent it

                                Who needs dumb thumbs when you have dumb fingers!
