Looking for opinions on Caliber 30

As well as buying in some helis for the competitions, I'm presonally looking at buying now a .30 size heli.

The Caliber 30 looks appealing with a good few now at the field, plus its tail driven so I keep my tail control while autoing.

Has anyone else had experience with this heli ? Good or Bad...

In deed i do i have learnt on one of these and i think its great and its the quietist heli i have being full belt driven
the only issues i have had with it is the one way bearing broke after one gallon (scary when in flight as all drive to mains is lost) and parts seem to be an issue the one way bearing had to ordered from the states as ripmax didnt stock them but other than that and lack of being able to scale her up no probs nice heli i wanted to upgrade to the caliber 60 or 90 but have you seen the price of them 8O there more expensive than a bergen gasser
i do belive you can get a caliber 30 (ft) version from japan wich has a lot of upgrades from standard

If your looking for upgrades for the caliber 30 have a look about for some made by a company called Correct thay have some very nice ali upgrades including a 3 bladed head !!

They are a Belgium company but i have had some stuff iff them and it is quality.

much nicer than another well known 30 size heli, maybe parts are a little more i seem to remember? but it flys really well and SO quiet! dont think you will like the autos though after the 90 mind?!

I'm going to get Ben the oldest a Caliber .30, however, I'm looking at what .50 to get, I've an OS 50 Hyper on the shelf waiting for a heli....

Your warned....she has threatened to come and see what exactly I find so facinating about standing in a field for hrs on end.... , especially when the weathers not even ideal...

I've got this .50 engine now and I'm looking at getting a Sceadu Evo, if you've still got the Caliber after the summer I may be tempted for the kid.

I've just got so much on my plate a 3rd heli will drive her nut's, but hopefully by the end of April I'll have 25,000 sqft storage space to hide things
