  • Advice and tips on the 32vr

    Hi guys,

just got myself a concept 32vr to get me back in the game, came up at a price i could not refuse.

i know some spares are still kicking around thanks to midland and ebay but was just wondering if anyone has any good tips etc, as its being stripped and rebuilt, it came with almost enough new spares to build another airframe!

any mods i should do along the way? hows that flapping head? will i get +/- 9 degrees of pitch?

    cheers guys

i used to have a 30srx but not sure how much is the same, does it have a a seperate slider to give pitch? or does the swash move vertically to give collective pitch.

the other trouble your going to have is there are not many people around now that know their way around the model so finding quality help might be tricky.

finally, dont expect it to do much more than loops and rolls.

the problem on any advice will be that there was so many versions it will all get confused as to what is correct for a certain model type

hi ade, tbh i couldnt tell you yet. not done much with it tonight apart from unpack it and throw it in the corner to await its strip down.

im away at the weekend so wont be till next week now untill i can sit down properly with it and see whats what.

its enough to get me back in the game anyway and if i crash it hard enough to go in the bin i wont lose any sleep over it lol

        cheers

Well after a really awesome pm i think there might be 2 flying here soon!

anyway had a quick look over it this morning, by the looks of things its in a old concept chassis not a vr one, although i do have the vr chassis here to. so think it will be rebuilt as a 46 but keeping the engine mounts etc etc to run a 30 sized engine as i have seen sc 36's going for £44 so it may get treated

            cheers

              hi guys

building up one of 3 32/46vr helis i have here now (so many spares) as 32's as i have read they still have more than enough power

anyway how is that flapping head? it looks crazy with the blades hanging down like that (have not flown the model yet, still building)

heard about fitting tubing to stop this, is there any need? does it fly better? any more tips would be great

              cheers

The ones I've seen fly have the rotors flopping about on the ground (wooden rotors), and they fly about and do loops, stall turns and rolls fine.
