I have one Pete but not finished yet....Originally posted by PeteStewardson View PostNice one Don. I'm impressed with it generally, just a few things I'm not so keen on but was going to update my build thread shortly.
My purchase (pre-order) was fairly spur of the moment with hope in my heart that it runs very quiet and smooth. Now I am almost through the build, my thoughts are that I think the design and potential of the model is very good! It is a heck of a lot of model for the money and is very well thought out, very current in design features and should be very practical. Canopy colour scheme is better in the flesh than the photos. Canopy looks great from some angles and bit weird from others. I think (hope) that the model looks good in the air. Alas as (almost) all first batch kits... a few things need to be fine tuned.
Moulded Gears: think the moulds need to settle in yet as they do run a bit out of true. The small front gear is almost there and careful tightening and a bit of trial and error helps with the tail drive gear. I suspect the belt system will cope ok with some run out of the drive gears.
Ball links: Bit too tight and not sure if I like the design. Small ridge in the centre of the ball link locates on the ball. But seeing what the test Pilots do with em' they should be fine. Seems to be one side with a small flat ring in the mould. I am taking that as the inside.
Main one for me was the front metal drive gear. Seems like the hole for the small plastic drive gear was a bit higher than it should have been. So I had to rework the hole and then had to take a little of the edge of the motor screws and a little chamfer on the motor pinion gear to get it as close to the mount as possible.
So at the moment... it is fair to say it is a builders kit, which cant be thrown together without it hindering the potential. Another 2-5% of fine tuning by Agile and it will be there
Russ.

Yeah I think you've found the ska etchings as me. Although today I realised I've only got one main blade bolt in the packet which should have two.
Its close to being there, hopefully it will fly as good as it looks.Pete
