These things have been around since early summer and still no stockists and no hint of anyone taking it on. It doesn't matter how good/bad something is if you can't buy it ?

As a layman when it comes to knowing anything about this as a business I can't help but think of Alees, Outrage, Avant and a couple that I have forgotten but Midland sure do and probably don't need to get stuck with more products that are 5 minute wonders. Where is the marketing and advertising from KDS? Is it out there and am I looking in the wrong place?Originally posted by nickwap View PostI think that Midland should pitch for a distributorship, that would be an awesome partnership.

I only wonder why Rob only adds non KDS bits to the 5.5 - does it only come as a kit? or will combos be available as well?Sev

Combo's are available for the 5.5, speaking of which I should be getting the full combo with my 5.5 so will put some pictures up on another thread
(Don't want to clutter up Rob's thread
).
In reply to Andy's comment, At this moment there isn't any marketing or Advertisement in the UK as They're still sorting out who the distributer will be. Over the pond, Mainland Europe and Asia the Agile is quite popular and have been so for a while (well for as long as they have been available to the public) not just a 5 minute wonder as you put it
and please remember that Agile as a brand hasn't been around for that long, They introduced the first Agile 7.2 Heli's to the public at this years Helimasters and were very well received.
For people interested there is a very informative review of the Agile 7.2 in this months rotor world Magazine by Dave Dijkmans.

If they can't yet sell them in this country then there isn't much point, they can be advertising and marketing in an area that has a registered distributer and in any case they're already doing some advertising for the Agile brand by having Factory pilots in the UK. That's what we're here for. That's what this thread was here for.

Im seeing plenty of activity from them. Facebook mostly but they are being very active it would seem. As said above the 7.2 worldwide appears a very popular model. First batches sold out quick and when the second showed they also appeared to be selling well.Originally posted by Andy from Sandy View PostSo why exactly does this stop KDS from doing their own advertising?[/COLOR]
I guess the distributor will be the ones advertising in their country as a manufacturer wont advertise in every country, they will use pilots and social media for that?

I can assure you guys there is serious money being invested in this project. The UK is just last to the party in this case. There is some legacy politics as to why one or more stores have not picked it up yet. The first KDS models, the Innovas were in some part copies of Mikado, like 60/40 70/30 idk so some vendors have declined to take it up based on not wanting to harm their standing agreements with Mikado. Understandable obviously.
I would like to think though that since the Innova never landed on UK shores (I think) that they might be inclined to take it based on solely supporting the Agile line which is 100% original, as original as anything can be in this hobby.
KDS were at ircha. Our blimp flew off. The are donating the grand prize at OHB with another big presence. The were title sponsor at 3dx china, had 18 pilots flying, 15 of which using combo kits and the US warehouse receives container shipments once or twice a month. They also have plans to include other brands within the KDS distribution group. RCProPlus connectors and SkyHero are already on board. They have long term plans to grow.KDS Models | RCProPlus
