i would have fitted the mainshaft into the bearings before the three long bolts were tightend up to get everything inline
and then removed it to carry on with the build

I thought that as I was doing it but they sit into slots and when I pinched it up it goes solid so I left it. Slid the mainshaft in and it was perfect.

I like the head myself. Very different and you can see the feathering spindle. Not seen another like it myself and wait till its finished as it looks good then

          Next lot of pics added.

Ive also changed the servo horns to the Mikado ones which give better geometry to the head as they are longer than the star ones.

FYI: I am not sponsored by KDS. I just got asked if I would build and fly the model.....I just haven't given it back yet I'm enjoying flying it so much.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts Ben. You got the manual online right? As far as the manual goes some of the steps feel like they are in the wrong order. They know about it and I think they intend to change it.

You will likely have a heap of fasteners left over.

I was going to do a build thread but was running out of time before ircha so couldn't document, build and fly. We have 5 or 6 of them flying at my club here. 7.2 and some 5.5 prototypes. There is no plans for a 600 size agile although there is already plans for another range of models next year.

No distributors in UK at the moment but I believe you will be able to order from mainland Europe once they are for sale. Combo Kit and Kit only. US price I think is $950 for combo 7.2. Available late September.

                      Build updated above

Hi Craig, yes I noticed the manual is a ski wiff lol. I have got loads of bits left over and in one way I prefer this so you got a few little odds and sods as spares but then on the other hand its like 'have I missed one anywhere?' lol.

So far the build has been very straight forward. The quality of materials is excellent and its easy to notice when building as they have not skimped in any department. Its great the have such a solid drive train as you can fit large motors on here and I dont suspect even 1 will cause issues unless you have not got the belt tight enough or the mesh of the bevel gear right but its so easy to set you'll be laughing. So cant wait to get this in the air now as it looks awesome.

They available now and priced at €849.99 but actually having just checked the first batch is all sold out but they are in stock in Europe at some of their dealers

Depends if I get it all done. Only got the leccytronics to do but got a busy week now. It will be there regardless.

Not sure but I think its 4kg without packs. I will weigh it in the morning without blades and packs.
