As far as I can tell, you just have to loosen the two bolts at each end of the engine mount and you can remove the engine. Very simple indeed.

I do wonder how much cheaper this can really be to manufacture though? The apparent changes aren't exactly huge.

I reckon they can loose 20-30% from the price easily.

G10 frames are about 1/2 the price of CF. Plastic undercarriage rather then CF. Ali booms are more than 1/2 the CF equivalent. Pictures show a metal fan, but a properly designed plastic unit will work just aswell and will be cheaper if made in volume (after tooling costs).

You could start replacing some of the metal levers with plastic, but I think that might be abit to far and takeaway what makes the Srimok stand out from other machines.

Its a great idea, but just doesnt do it for me tbh.

All the carbon fibre, carbon boom, full alluminium engine base plate etc, as said 'makes it stand out'. Its something a bit special and the G10 + plastic parts take that away from it.

....bet it still flies just as good though.

KASAMA new design Srimok ECO 90 - this one as an alternative to the full-featured Srimok Nitro Classic. Features shorter engine mount and nylon U/C struts as used on the Faifa. Probably availabe end of September - certainly lacks nothing in performance from the Classic - built as stock with OS91 HZ-R motor - Funtech blades and paddles - only bling Titanium frame screws
                    Quotation: Mercuriell ~ Thank you.
