Finally tried the Radix FAI blades on it today and omg how smooth is it with these on.
Massively slowed it down on elevator and aileron and too be honest too much for my liking but when I was just doing some FFF it was incredible, come across the field at 10ft and stayed at 10 ft even in the wind we had today with no corrections needed.
Very good for F3C thats for sure and I think I will keep them for some precise flying and maybe even a little B practice dare I say it One day
Thought I would update on here rather than start a new thread.
Well since the last post on here the Srimok went to BeastX as you all know and was great after some small issues with the tail and I really enjoyed flying it, but now today it was its first outing on a mini Vbar Blueline.
It is incredible on the Vbar, it seems to hold the heli much better. There is no cyclic wobble at all through any moves (well any moves that I can do) and when inverted it is the same, very solid. I had to lower the tail gain quite a lot. Its at 15% on the TX and in the Vbar software I think thats around 70%
It that ok?
I kept getting a wag at very high speed across the field which appears now to have gone.
It is confidence inspiring so much so I even tried a new move with it and thats something I never do with my baby
Must have done around 6-7 flights today so enough to get a good feel for it so will now just run more packs through it and see how it goes.
Flying 5:30 and landing with around 32-38% left in the packs today so could increase the time or just leave it as is as thats about fine for me and gives a bit of room for when I start to push a little harder.
TBH, the express feels better than the other Vbar with Pro on which was on Srimok no2
Now all set up I can just go out with it and rack up the flight time
Good news Ben,
I had no doubt that the v-bar would perform. But is sounds like your tails mechanical mixing is to much.
I aim for gain of between 80 and 100%.

So what would I do to sort that, move the ball on the horn in a little?
Yeah move the ball on the servo horn towards the center a little, you might have to change the horn to get the right amount of movement, I'd say about 1mm from where it is now.
So you had wobbles and tail issues with the Beast? That's weird... You are making me rethink about using it in this heli. Let's assume tail issues were the same as you are having with the vbar due to horn length etc. But bobbing? That's not nice to deal with on such a good FBL unit as the BeastX.

Please excuse my ignorance, I am just learning the hobby and trying my hardest to understand everything I read.
I have tried to google, but it is difficult to search for this specifically.
What is mechanical mixing with respect to the tail?
I can understand it on the swash (due to phasing etc), but not on the tail. Do you mean the mixing between throttle and rudder? Or something else?
Cheers,
Andrew
