I did look at it but nobody I know really flies these , there a boutique heli and the way the hobby has declined over the last couple of years I doubt if you would get your money back . As per Michael's comment above . Great shame really but there you go .

Yeah, based on my Dune 600 they have jewel like quality. They fly in the face of the current trend for minimal parts count, some of their design might be called over elaborate but when it works great and every part is like a work of art what's not to like?

Never seen one in the flesh and not seen many photos to be honest.

Are they quite expensive compared to other brands? Fly well I take it?

When you could buy a Trex Nitro combo for £600 a Kasama would set you back £1200 for the kit. Works of art really and machining is unmatched. Over complicated by today's standard and they don't fly any better. A 105 in the nitro is too much really, the Faifa flown hard will eat counter gears so need the metal one plus the tail was pretty weak. Prob best of the bunch was the Dune but the canopy was like marmite.

Well in the spirit of #KeepRCHelisAlive and being a long time Kasama owner, myself and a friend are in the process of purchasing the Kasama stock.

I've been involved with Kasama UK since it started and it's my company that built and maintains kasama.co.uk, so hopefully once we get everything worked out we should be back in business ASAP.

Good to see people still posting regarding Kasama and with some effort on our part we can keep it going.

They are in a similar league with brands like Henseleit, Minicopter, Banshee, the high end JRs and Quest etc. The philosophy behind the designs has always been to find the best way to achieve something even if it's not the easiest or least expensive solution (plus, I have to think just a bit of pure eccentricity and a unique aesthetic vision).

The thing is, lots of helis fly extremely well these days, but there's still a noticeable 'something' about the way some helis respond, an almost intangible 'feel' that is different and I can't explain it but it's definitely there.

Let's be honest the main reason to own a Kasama is the way it feels when you carry it out and the way it looks on the shelf. The detail is incredible.

They're still an amazing machine!

Although they're definitely eye candy machines, they're such nice machines to fly, reliable and a joy to work on.
