  • TDR Differences

Going to buy a TDR at some point after flying Maj's and Dentmans, wanting one is just not going away!

So, there is various versions/years as I understand it, can someone let me know what the changes/differences were please?

Lol, yeah I bought his! Saying that, I'm going through one of those 'I have too many helis phases' so you might be able to twist my arm... It's a mint model, complete with custom buckers cano (this was done earlier in the year - by me not maj). Not another one out there like this!!

I really like that canopy! It's nice to see really bold big contrasts. I bet it looks excellent in the air. 'Too many helis' Yep, I know the feeling well.

OH wow it just looks AMAZING in the air... So much so that I struggle to see me other helis as I've got used to this.

Not that I want to turn this into a buckers appreciation thread but boy did he do a good job on this. I'm a graphic designer by trade so this was one i designed myself and supplied him artwork to work from. I work with suppliers all the time and can honestly say that he did a remarkable job. It's all very well copying another cano but to work from a flat design file is another thing. See attached the design and finished product.

I think you'll all agree this is pretty impressive stuff!

2009 had plastic tail grips , different plastic head damper sleeves and different torque tube guides , 2010 onwards had metal tail grips and different TT guides and 2012 again had different TT guides . I'm sure there are a few other differences , FYI I ran my TDR ( 2010 ) with the 2009 head sleeves as it gave less teetering , super model but now sold (to Heathy ) hope you find one G .

Nice!!! That canopy looks great, I bet the colors stand out perfectly in the air! I just put a new one on mine, too. No special paint job though, just a sleek profile I'm really liking it.
To the OP: I hope you find one for sale soon. These things are truly a joy to fly!
